Kosher Yoga: Exploring the Poses with Jewish Consciousness
Immerse yourself in a yoga course for all levels that will expand
your view of why yoga is good for Jews. Now is the time, this is the
generation in which Jews have taken on yoga practice in the millions,
worldwide. Yoga is a universal art, a system of poses, that provide
not only exercise and relaxation, but also connection within each person
of body, mind and spirit and between each individual and All That Is.
What is the place of this science/art in Judaism? Will yoga make you
a better Jew? Are there hints in Judaism that practicing yoga is in
fact a mirzvah? In the practice-based course, we will explore deep connections
between our practice and a core Jewish concept: Torah roots, the Aleph-Bet,
the Sephirot, and Shabbat. Come harmonize body, mind and spirit. Celebrate
your Jewish soul.
